THE FIRE IN FICTION - In this workshop based upon his recent book The Fire in Fiction, New York agent Donald Maass reveals how master contemporary novelists make every book great-and how participants can use the techniques of greatness in their current manuscripts.

This is an intensive, hands-on workshop for advanced fiction writers. Participants should bring a WIP and writing materials.

Paul Gillette Awards
2010 Special Events

The Paul Gillette Awards, for the winners of the Pikes Peak Writers Fiction Writing Contest, will be awarded at the Saturday night banquet. You can buy extra guest tickets for the Saturday night banquet when you register.

These awards, and the Pikes Peak Writers Fiction Writing Contest, are traditional parts of our annual Pikes Peak Writers Conference.  Mr. Gillette, a prolific screenwriter and novelist was a early supporter of the Pikes Peak Writers organization.  The author of "Play Misty For Me" and a regular byline in magazines like Playboy and Esquire, he passed away in 1996.  Each of the links below displays the winners for a specific year.
